“My role is to walk beside you — steady, real, and on your side.”
After more than two decades in healthcare, I’ve learned that healing doesn’t always come from fixing — it begins when someone finally feels seen. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years as a nurse, supporting people through crisis, loss, and recovery. Those experiences shaped the way I work now — with steadiness, honesty, and a deep respect for how people carry the unseen parts of their story.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and youth (12+) who are navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, chronic illness, and compassion fatigue. Many of the people I meet are caregivers, helpers, or first responders — people who have learned to stay calm when everything else falls apart. In our sessions, we slow things down together. We focus on rebuilding safety, trust, and self-connection so that healing can begin from the inside out.
Clients often describe me as authentic and straightforward. I bring a grounded, down-to-earth energy to therapy — someone who will sit beside you when things feel heavy and offer honesty when clarity is what’s needed most. Depending on what’s right for you, we might use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, family systems, or thematic map-and-release — approaches that support both mind and body.
I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Clinical Traumatologist. My work is guided by the belief that healing happens through connection, not perfection. I offer in-person sessions in Calgary and secure virtual sessions across Alberta. Book a complimentary consultation to see if working together feels like the right fit.
