“Healing begins when we feel safe enough to come home to ourselves.”

I love supporting people through the big transitions of early adulthood and beyond, whether it’s stepping into university life, becoming a new parent, or pausing to ask, “Who am I outside of everyone else’s expectations?” Real change happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, get curious, and come home to ourselves.

I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Master of Counselling Psychology and a background in kinesiology and yoga. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a rehab clinic, and I taught yoga. I noticed how much people longed to be heard and supported, not just “fixed.” Those experiences showed me how powerful it can be to integrate body and mind, and how much of a difference it makes when we honour both.

In session, I’ll meet you as you are. Sometimes that looks like grounding breaths or progressive muscle relaxation; other times it’s gently naming the “ten little fires” you bring into the room and choosing together which one to tend to first. My approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practices, and mindfulness, always explained in plain language and adapted to what feels comfortable for you. My role is to guide and collaborate, not to push.

Clients often tell me our work helps them recognize patterns, cultivate self-compassion, and build coping strategies that actually fit their lives. Whether it’s the relief of a mindful pause or the courage to make a life-changing decision, I find meaning in supporting people as they reconnect with themselves in ways that feel gentle and sustainable.

Outside of therapy, I’m a big believer in balance. Mindfulness for me isn’t just yoga; it can be found on a mountain bike trail, in a stretch on the living room floor, or in the pause of a good laugh. I’ll never pretend therapists have it all figured out, I’m human too, and I believe that honesty helps build trust.

I offer secure virtual sessions across Alberta and in-person counselling in Red Deer. New clients are warmly welcomed through our central booking portal.
